blue sky reflection

bldgreflection.jpg

i used to be able to take lunch in the financial district of san francisco, sometimes with friends sometimes alone, i noticed there are alot of people who have lunch by themselves right there on the street. i think most of them are temps or new to the job. it was kind of a weird contrast to see loud groups gabbing it up down the sidewalk and the crowds of loners just eating their lunch outside. the weather in sf is always nice, especially in financial when nice cool gusts would come through the streets. i shot this photo in singapore a few days ago and i just looked at that building and for a minute i thought i was back in sf, having lunch in the middle of a city and the only spec of sunny sky was in the reflection of a high-rise. i kinda miss it, i hope to be back there soon.

in spite of what i know these glass-clad buildings stand for, i can’t help but embrace the beauty of some of them. i’ve found myself hating and loving them at the same time. i guess in the end, all we can say is that the corporations are nothing but reflections of ourselves anyway.
