another reason to think of yourself as a digital artist

NYU Media Research Lab’s project ‘Image Analogies’ is very interesting. this software, with a little help from you, trains itself to build filters based on an ‘before’ image and an ‘after’ image. the training data then can be applied to other images. hmmm, there is some time-saving that could be done with this. then again…

if this ‘technology’ goes mainstream, it would be interesting. although personally, i think you should be licensed before you ever open photoshop and create those ‘masterpieces’. furthermore, there should be federally enforced quotas on the use of digital ‘lens flares’ in any media.
