here’s my friday five.
1. What is your favorite time of year?
Autumn just before it turns to winter. (November-ish)
2. What is it about your favorite season that, well, makes it your favorite season?
The colors changing, the air is crispy. Bundling up. People slow down. Reminds of starting a new school year when I was a little kid. I get nostalgic and sentimental. Anticipating all the holidays and seeing old friends and family. Food, food, food.
3. What is your least favorite time of year?
Middle of summer. Heat. Tourists. Tourists who drive, increase traffic and cause accidents. Tourists who go overboard and ‘dress for the climate’ (who invents those colours and patterns?)
4. Do you do anything to celebrate or recognize the changing of seasons?
Besides moving the right clothes up front in the closet, I might move furniture around, change something with my dwelling. There may be a party or two to celebrate.
5. What’s your favorite thing to do outside?
Biking. When i have the cash, skiing. But even just walking around the city is fun enough for me.
