friday five: ‘the career edition’

1. What is your current occupation? Is this what you chose to be doing at this point in your life? Why or why not?

post-production or visual effects supervisor. this is not what i chose to be doing at this point in my life. i fell into this industry by accident. i was supposed to be in business/marketing.

2. If time/talent/money were no object, what would your dream occupation be?

hard to say… music producer, song writer, photographer.

3. What did/do your parents do for a living? Has this had any influence on your career choices?

accountant and nurse. it had an influence in college but not on career choices.

4. Have you ever had to choose between having a career and having a family?

no

5. In your opinion, what is the easiest job in the world? What is the hardest? Why?

this sounds like one of those ‘actors studio’ questions… i don’t think there is an ‘easiest job in the world’, or else it wouldn’t be a ‘job’ would it. but i would have to say it’s all relative so if it’s something you love and you get paid to do it, that’s the easiest job in the world.

the hardest job in the world… coal-miner? president of the u.s.? park ranger in alaska? any manual labor job in any third-world country.
