upgrading and housecleaning
taking many pictures, which means i’m also organizing hundreds of photos right now. iPhoto is really not the best program yet for managing a huge library of files. it’s so clunky, the iPhoto crew needs to talk to the itunes/ipod crew and get more in sync. if i had to pick one feature that they need it’s a good search function.
i managed to weed down 900 of my prague photos to about 100 or so of the best. i’ll up load a bunch over the next two weeks. when you flip through them, you’ll notice i’ve tweeked the color a bit with some desaturation. the reason being is that before i went to prague i had a definite image of what i though the city would look like from all the photos i’ve seen of it. sort of like atget’s paris which is the book i credit for getting seriously interested in photography. well, what i didn’t know until i got there was that a few years ago there was a huge flood in the city and during the remodeling all the building had to paint up the building so as not to look so bleak and old.
so when i got there the place looked like main street or fantasyland at disneyland with all the facades splashed with pastels. ornate details refurbished with an almost over-the-top feel of a feature-film art director.
it’s still a beautiful city but not what i pictured. so, the photos i put up will have a dreamy feel to them because that’s my mind right now for those images.
i’ve upgraded the content management system as well and reworking some code so it’s easier/faster to upload photos and blog about it. it should be invisible to you except that comments are now moderated. the overall site should be a bit quicker, the comments layout is still a bit ugly but i’ll get to that this week.
some late spring cleaning at home. if you want to see mi casa take a look here. i’ll probably move that link soon because it’s just a test. i’ll still trying to figure out how best to prep images for flash because it seems my pics have some jaggies goin on when they’re in flash.

listening to everything right now, i have alot of music to catch up and enjoy. my homie ted shred gave me his new mix and he f*ckin kills it. also, mel’s latest mix ’short but funky’ makes me want to do the robot. check out his photos too, boy’s got skillz.
