i’m really enjoying my summer. i’ve been reading, travelling, taking pictures. i could get used to this vacation thing. the only drawback is that there’s a lot of free time to think about things both good and bad.

when i’m working on a job, it’s like stepping through a time machine and a wormhole . everything stands still, i get tunnel vision and i live in a bubble. by the time the job wraps, it’s several weeks/months later and i’m in a different place. unpaid bills are piled up, plants are dead, and i have to catch up on all the news of my family and friends.

speaking of fashion, the september 2004 vogue is 832 pages, 640+ pages are adverts.

note to self: my opening line to cute bookstore girl should not have been “i think i strained my arm lifting the new vogue.” i don’t know what sounded worse, the fact that i thought i may have strained my arm on a magazine or the fact that i knew it was the “NEW” vogue.
