One of the Signs of the Apocalypse
My homie Eddie Lin makes it into the book “THE BEST FOOD WRITING 2005″ with an article from his website “Deep End Dining”.
I remember when he wanted to start his website with the idea of wanting to review food that he loves which is usually ‘exotic’. Sometimes I think he eats things simply because others don’t like it (‘Fear Factor’ producers should burn his application if you ever see his name)
We were in new york city last summer and like everywhere we travel, eddie eats and I take pictures. His dream job is to travel and review food. He had seen what I was doing with my little ol’ website and thought the format would work for his reviews. We were hanging out with Megan and she thought it was a great idea. Since she already travels and eats for a living, she would be a natural to help contribute to the site.
With blogger, blogspot and flickr we were up and running in no time. Now, less than a year later, the site’s been getting alot of attention and now his writing is being awarded.
I’m ecstatic that Eddie is getting his props. It’s been a long time coming. Cheers to you my friend.
