incredible detail and time went into this map of springfield. but how can i check the accuracy? do i have to scan through all the shows to verify this stuff? regardless, it’s a great ‘thomas brothers’ take on the town we’ve grown to love. those with speedy connections can see the big map (1753×1173)

i’ve been looking for this and forgot about it. scifi.com is now showing the cg short film ‘f8′ by animator jason wen, in it’s entirety.
the film is stunning, the art direction and lighting are beautiful and it can show what one person can do (in two years, i mean)
sony will make astroboy a feature film. helmed by eric leighton (co-direcor ‘dinoaur’), written by todd alcott (’antz’) and ken kaufman (’space cowboys’).
not exactly the strongest credits on this project and there’s no defined budget but the story of astroboy is interesting enough (of course, hollywood may dilute it ).
