Commercial work has always paid the bills, but many graphic designers have now let it become, in large measure, what graphic designers do. This, in turn, is how the world perceives design. The profession’s time and energy is used up manufacturing demand for things that are inessential at best.

I’ve been nominated for an Emmy award in the category of “Outstanding Individual Achievment In A Craft: Graphic and Artistic Design”. (say that three times fast) for my work as Visual Effects Supervisor/Post-Production Supervisor on the Documentary Mini-Series “Strange Days on Planet Earth” for National Geographic.
Ceremonies are in September, fingers are crossed, stay tuned.
